@weston I have no experience with GTK, but I can say QT has been getting more and more bloated over the years, to the point that my employer has stopped using it for internal utilities - we'd rather deal with command line stuff than fool with trying to get all the QT stuff to work out.

They've lost a lot of good people through the various purges of folks that aren't 'loyal' to the clown, which has resulted in some pretty embarrassing failures on their part. If they end up with the clown brigade on this, it could go sideways for them very quickly.

1) I've had some conference talks and I've done CSM training, so I kinda have a clue how to estimate.
2) I'm making stuff up based on a guess as to what is desired. It gets better the better I'm able to break things down, but I'm usually so stressed about today's stuff that I'm unable to really break the new task down well.
3) I have little to no confidence in my own estimates, partly because I CAN'T measure success - too many side tasks to count.
