KI-Rechenzentrum in Deutschland für OpenAI. Ich sehe ehrlich gesagt den Vorteil für Deutschland nicht. Es kostet uns viel Geld und Resourcen das zu errichten und schafft nur sehr wenig Arbeitsplätze. Steuern zahlen die nutzenden Firmen hier auch nicht. I used Watchtower for years but that's no longer under active development (Their is a fork though I haven't had a closer look at yet). Watchdog had more sophisticated features when it came to pre- and post-update calls I believe. But it does a reasonable job and has a nice Web Interfaces to control multiple agents on remote hosts.

@tante@tldr.nettime.org I assume the discussion spun up around whether the Linux kernel should accept AI generated contributions. How would one practically avoid that? In your analogy of child labor the Kernel community would have to put out a statement that code written by means of child labor is not accepted in the Kernel. Reasonable. And the industries way of "ensuring" that is my having the contributor sign a piece of paper saying they don't use child labor. Would that be the same for AI generated code if the decision would be to not accept AI generated code? The code itself wouldn't be distinguishable from human written code. You'd just have to trust the person that they stand by their signature to not use AI tools for code generation.

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net One challenge is that the amount of data is growing so fast that grass roots movement archiving doesn't seem practical. One needs industrial grade storage infrastructure for most stuff. Many people struggle to even archive their own data.

Trotz geringer Teilnehmerzahl war das Interesse groß. Wir haben es geschafft das alle sich am Ende des Kurses mit ihren MeshCore Knoten gegenseitig Nachrichten schicken konnten und sogar sporadisch Anschluss ans große MeshCore Netz da war. Man will auf jeden Fall eine Fortsetzung des Kurses und noch mehr Teilnehmerinnen anschleppen. Heute Morgen aus Berlin eine Direktnachricht an eine der Teilnehmenden durchbekommen von Berlin aus. Es funktioniert also. #MeshCore #meshtastic #Uckermark

@tomster Ja, kann ich mir durchaus vorstellen. Wir haben auch im Rahmen des Digital Independence Day zu einem Mesh-Radio Verein in Feldberg glaube ich Kontakt aufgenommen. Also da ist definitiv da. Wir müssen einfach mal einen neuen Termin koordinieren und gucken in welchem Rahmen wir das machen im Rahmen der Volkshochschule oder als Teil des Independence Day Veranstaltung. Da wird bestimmt noch weitere Terine geben
