@wordmark@mas.to @sarahlehmann@troet.cafe Das haben Private Credit und Private Aktien Investments so an sich und steht eigentlich auch so im Datenblatt. Die Dinge sind nicht sonderlich liquide, da nicht direkt an der Börse gehandelt, und haben alle eine gewisse Laufzeit. Da kann man nicht früh raus, wenn das zu viele möchten. Da habe ich mit den Investoren echt kein Erbarmen 😅

@xeophin@swiss.social I am now considering whether I should create an MS account dedicated to this computer and enable intentionallyntentional all cloud features. The idea being that if one is there, no other can be added. But that's not really what I want. We don't need ms cloud features. No idea why Microsoft is so bloody awful.

@xeophin@swiss.social Later: The same thing happens again. I then used gpedit to disable the usage of MS accounts and OneDrive features (https://github.com/mritzmann/cheatsheets/blob/master/windows.md) In the meantime, it has happened again. I have no idea why and how I can stop it. I hate it.

@xeophin@swiss.social We have a Windows computer in the @asvt@swiss.social clubhouse. We need it when we have a shooting competition (the software is ms access based). After six months, OneDrive was suddenly set up and all documents, downloads, etc. were in OneDrive. The person who did this cannot explain how it happened. Undone. The same thing after a few weeks. I then combed through all the settings and disabled things in Windows and MS Office that could be causing this.

@spaceraser@polymaths.social @Techaltar@mas.to That's not my experience. IMHO, every OS works perfectly fine with 8GB RAM. More often, it is dozens of programs running in the background and starting automatically when the system boots up that fill up the RAM. In my experience, Windows users tend to have such programs more often then others (Spotify, Steam, Printer driver, Brother Scan Center, useless "Tuning"-Tools, AV Scanner, TomTom/Garmin-Sync Services, Discord etc). But that's just my personal observation.
