Getting ready to ship six rolls of film to Photo 60 for processing. They always do a nice job and they're crazy fast.
My kid's uni roomie is taking a film photography course next semester and needed a camera, so gifting them a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with the kit lens (and *maybe* a 50/1.8), but it needed a field test before getting shipped out. Made my kid do the field test ("P is for Professional") and he got this look on his face like he might add a class. 😆 Which he shouldn't, I think he's carrying 17 credits already.

@venya@musicians.today @brad@1040ste.net It has been literal decades but I recall using some open source app that spoke ActiveSync to drag Exchange mail to my local inbox and then just used mutt, and later did the same with Gmail. It was nice to separate the client from the syncing problem, and I think I just set up authenticated SMTP rules for the outbound.
Long-winded way to ask, have you tried mutt? I can't imagine it no longer maintained.

@mattblaze I live near an old Nike missile site and about once a year they do a tour for the first busload of people to sign up (I always find out a day late).
It's on my bucket list to take some photos with a Soviet-era camera. Crazy to think how many billions of dollars and unknown lives were spent to prevent that very thing from happening.

@ericsfraga@fediscience.org @ohmrun@indieweb.social Uni roommate and I did that one Saturday, accidentally rode 60 miles. Not even an energy bar. Found water about halfway through. He was on a road bike, I was on a mountain bike, he flatted about five miles from home so I sprinted the last leg, grabbed the car and a loaf of bread and drove back for the rescue, and we just devoured slices of plain bread one after another on the drive home.

@robpike@hachyderm.io I do a lot of thrift shopping for old camera gear and I've picked up a couple of old HP calculators along the way. The early keys were double-shot injection molded like a good keyboard, the later ones just painted.
