I'm feeling like a Bad Queer for failing to be at either Nottingham Pride or London Trans+ Pride today. But the fact that I'm struggling to stay awake, and it's only three weeks since I had to be saved from a collapse by mountain rescue is a reminder that even if emotionally I could cope with the crowd, my body would have a hard time of it.

@pigworker@types.pl Marcus & I once spent a tipsy evening doing something similar with a single spoken rather than written vowel. The best we got was p*t which required only one neologism, and that had the very obvious definition of "(vt) to use a pooter". p*tter is a full set for written vowels, and I'm now wondering about how it works for spoken.

I will now be angry at the DWP letter calling for a video assessment which (a) gives the wrong browser requirements (it says Firefox is OK, and it is not) and (b) gives the wrong instructions for how to test that you do have a setup which can be used.

And then (c) the setup test fails to correctly test microphone setup (I know, because I screwed up the laptop mic with a skin and yet it said it was fine)

It's almost as if they want people to fail out.

Do people de-Googling their Android phones have any alternative to Google Wallet? Or do you just suck that one up? Or not bother with that functionality? (I'm going with the last option, but I'm increasingly seeing the advantage of the functionality) [please boost]

@pigworker I never think about the world where I contemporaneously ended up at Tit Hall (second Cambridge choice). Probably because it wouldn't be that different. (Compared to thinking about whose paths I would still have crossed if I'd ended up at second uni choice of Sussex)

@pigworker @substandard Not just drama, but Radio 6. I think I'm seeing a pattern that the bits the government wants to fund push the party line, and the bits the government don't want to be funding are going "Thank you for the money. We're going to do Good Stuff."

@RoseyPosey@anarres.family I should be able to work mine out in a similar way. Except shortly after I moved here I started trying to buy from the coffee shop in the village that does their own roasting, so there'll be some not on order. I went back to ordering because (a) I couldn't reliably get 1kg bags there and (b) the beans didn't flow into the grinder properly, and the machine kept complaining about the hopper being empty when it wasn't. I do know off the top of my head that it was something which didn't work out neatly enough for a subscription order from my local supplier in Wales and I had to order as-and-when, and that's what I'm doing again with my new local supplier @cait@anarres.family
