Biking Chicago → Iowa → back. Day 5/5, Segment 2/2: Harvard to Chicago. #cycling #chicago #bikeTooter 406.5 miles later, home at last. (I have gripes with Google Maps. See dirt track photo. Also, it led me via a concrete yard, where a kindly concrete truck ran me off the road and yelled at me.)

Biking Chicago → Iowa → back. Day 3/5, Segment 2/2: Clinton to Elizabeth. #cycling #chicago #bikeTooter Morning: Yay, I didn't get rained on. I beat the weather! Noon: WOW it's hot. Afternoon: Farmer Steve kindly throws my bike in his pickup and drives me to a motel so I can take a cold shower and recover from insane heat. (Didn't make it to Galena. Stopped 20 miles away. But will rejoin my route tomorrow.)
