I still believe well-regulated capitalism is the most successful form of human economics. The problem is that we no longer regulate capitalism and human greed is apparently infinite for the majority of people.
Greed and hoarding need to be recast as an illness. And we need to intervene for people who are sick with them.

About a month ago I decided to spend my free time getting more familiar with NixOS. In order to install NixOS, I needed to figure out what Linux Partitioning scheme I would use. Rather than manually partitioning, I decided I would dive straight into learning Disko the declarative disk partitioning system.
Learning the Nix language seems to be one of the major hurdles to understanding NixOS. Lucky for me, there's been major improvements in Nix documentation lately.
I run Arch Linux, btw. No really, I do. Curious why? You do? Creepy! But go on, read why. I dare you!

Twenty-five years ago, Suck parodied Slashdot. This brought back some fond memories!
It's hard to explain to someone how amazing Suck was. How it called out the absurdity of the first dot-com-boom. It made fun of us nerds for the odd way we worship pundits and CEOs.
The design of the site was gorgeous in an era before CSS. Every article linked out to dozens of interesting sources. And the artwork was a perfect fit for the snark.

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end.
Lately the cooling rains have come around again.
