@phabrizio@social.vivaldi.net Minchia!

Social media should act strictly as a discovery layer, a billboard or an asynchronous notification system to signal your work and share quick thoughts.
The real, durable content should always live on your own site/blog, built on open standards, simple HTML, and independent infrastructure.
Stop trying to turn what should be solved by a microblogging platform into an all-in-one intranet with complex bidirectional protocols.
The beauty of the web has always been its modularity: hyperlinks link things, blogs host content, and social feeds just point the way.
Own your data. Keep it simple.

@Manoj@flipboard.social It's not just about timing, it's about posting the right content for the right platform. I'm sick of seeing posts with 30 hashtags here on Mastodon. It's pointless and an invite to block the account or worse the entire instance.
You can do that into a commercial social, where you fish en masses, but you can't do that here. Write once publish everywhere is wrong, because each platform carries his own semantic.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social it is true but these kinds of rules apply only to people having some kind of privilege (earned in this case, but still a privilege). Peones like me and you, can't afford doing that.

@RustyNova@mastodon.social @aral@mastodon.ar.al @_elena@mastodon.social everything on at proto is built to be public first and your identity is rooted in a persistent DID (Decentralized Identifier). You can change handler but it still tied to your did and any change is public forever, even if you use a custom domain. See Clearksy.
Blocklists are public by design.
There are many other problems with atproto and bluesky.
