After thinking about it on and off for years, I'm *this* close to getting back into beer brewing again. All this time thinking has at least lead to the invention of a relatively cheap, super simple, and hopefully efficient setup that could work well for small batch brewing. Evaluating a MacBook Neo as my main computer at work. First impressions are very good, it's soo cute! Carrying it around, the slimmer size and lower weight makes a big difference compared to my old 14" MacBook Pro.

Having recently bought new developer machines with 48 GB RAM, a measly 8 GB feels very limited on paper, but I don't think I really need much more in my daily work. Time will tell. #macbookneo #mac #macos

Last night, me and my 7-year-old started talking about drains, sewers, and water treatment plants. He asked all sorts of good questions, like how sewer systems work for villages surrounded by hills, and I promised we'd look it up.

This morning he asked again, and we looked into it. There can be pumping stations, but in our nearest example, it turns out there's a small local water treatment plant for the villages in the valley.

A very enjoyable experience, and we both learned something!

My geek energy seems to be coming in shorter and more intense bursts these days, but this morning I actually wrapped something up. I wonder if that means I'll find the spark for my previous obsession again? It would be fun to finish that as well!

@mandymichael@front-end.social This is the first time I've heard of variable fonts, and it felt a bit frustrating that your site assumes readers already know what they are. Even the getting started page begins with this assumption. A quick background/introduction would have been nice.
