@huff@mastodon.social Alternatively, find a high cliff & get a bunch of your neighbors to help you chase a few mastodons over the edge. Messy as hell, but not as dangerous as the "run up & bother it with spears" technique. If conditions permit set up temporary village at the foot of the cliff for communal butchering/meat processing/etc. *idea stolen from Indigenous Peoples who did this with bison &/or buffalo
