SiriAI is not great but people are expecting so little from it I keep hearing people say it’s great.
Once you try to use it for real it’s clear it’s not “great”.
For example, I have a meeting today from noon to 1pm for which a Zoom link is not in the calendar invite.
SiriAI can find it in my email no problem. Tried to get it to add a new calendar invite with that link 5 different ways, it keeps trying to create an all-day meeting.
Maybe a 6th time would work, it’s pretty random.
This whole story about "LG dropping McAfee on Windows computers" - yeah I don't love it from LG, but the REAL story is "Microsoft allows peripherals to download and run whatever they want" which is a MUCH bigger deal.

I think it is like a "de-fangled PiHole" in the sense that it works great, blocks less, but also it doesn't break anything. I've you've ever run PiHole on a home network with other family members you know how it can get 😂

@davep@infosec.exchange tbh I think it's pretty much impossible to block this 100%, I'd say you definitely need to block all telemetry, avoid logging in to OneDrive, any microsoft account directly in Windows, don't use Edge, etc...
Ahhh when a local store you use against all logic, to support them, even if it means overspending and waiting longer + having to drive to pick stuff up decides to ask you for a deposit for a $100 order and it means having to CALL THEM ON THE PHONE.
Very easy way to convince me to order all of that online in the future. Should've looked at my order history...

@zed@mstdn.party each click creates a signature based on the server’s challenge and the private key never leaves the physical key’s enclave so no (if yes that would be a MASSIVE failure in implementation, so far physical access seems like the most likely way of doing this), but there are some minor privacy considerations, like it can identify the brand and model of key you’re using etc
