George was on the favorite cushion, Fred walks up, says meh, there's room, plops down next to her, and she's like, meh, there's room, puts her head back down.
I have my first cold in quite awhile. George was giving me some of her therapeutic face rubs, then settled on my chest. Fred got jellies, then moved in. George left a minute later.
This is pretty standard. Fred is the passive-aggressive king. He's the de facto alpha cat, although I seriously wonder if that's just because he's the largest and most annoyingly stubborn, not because he has any real leadership qualities.
Yesterday we went to the Google campus, which lies on the edge of the wetlands of the San Francisco Bay, and several nesting egret and heron species. We saw lots of snowy egrets, a couple pairs of great egrets, and many black-crowned night herons. Plus a vulture and even a wild hare! And lots of milkweed, which means lots of monarch butterflies and lots of sinus torture for me.
Also, I learned that female snowy egrets sound like drunk Muppets.
They just removed the Random Page widget from the Android Wikipedia app and I'm almost embarrassed how much of a massive inconvenience this is for me.

Today is Murder Kitty's Gotcha-versary! I picked her up off the street three years ago. She was semi-feral and not happy to be in a comfy home for quite awhile. It's been a gradual process, but there's almost no murder left in her. The past year has been a major turning point. She now demands affection regularly, sleeps with me, and I can even usually walk up to her and pet her without getting a warning nip.
Ok, maybe she still has a little murder left.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is very cute, but didn't really need to be a movie. Worth seeing you're a fan, though.
I wore Olive & June's special edition Beskar Chrome polish for the occasion.
I think Lupita Nyong'o will be an amazing Helen of Troy and an even better Clytemnestra.
Also, she adopted a shelter cat after making Quiet Place: Day One. She'd been afraid of them until she made the movie, which stars a cat (played by two cats, apparently).
Local theater is showing Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon this weekend, so I brought a friend who had never seen it before. What an amazing film. I ♥️ Chow Yun-Fat and Michelle Yeoh.

So sweet. I'm bunsitting these cuties this week. They were just introduced about 4 months ago but quickly developed the sweetest bond. Mocha, the brown bun, was a very timid foster fail, but Joe has really brought her out of her shell.
