The boot on my DIN connector disintegrated and fell off. I don’t want to have to remove the connector from either end of the cable to put a new boot on. I feel like this is a problem that could be solved bub #3DPrinting but I’m not sure how. If I print a new boot in two pieces what will hold it together when it’s installed?
I’ve seen the ants do this a few times in this location. No idea why.

Today I decided I'd see if I can use #PrusaSlicer on my ancient #FlashForge Creator Pro. Got the hacks installed so it can spit out .x3g. Did a simple print of some action figure and it worked (but can't get supports off). Decide to try real model. Need to orient part face down. But it rotates all wonky. And rotation fields are all zero! Enter new rotation and it moves then zeros out the fields! #3DPrinting
This has taken several days to get it this parametric. But now I can go in and change the cartridge height to make it giant for say, a prototype board, and it will automatically resize and insert additional screw posts.
What I've been working on for the last week: A prototype for doing bringups of bus-based #FujiNet. Has RP2350 dev board to the bus edge connector at the bottom. ESP32-S3 dev board with microSD at the top. The two dev boards will communicate over USB using the new RS232/Fujiversal protocol. Lots of debug breakouts with LOTS of labels. Solder jumpers for modding. Edge uses ISA pinout; CoCo, MSX, etc. via trivial passive pin-swap adapters.

Prototype of #TRS80 CoCo #FujiNet which uses the cartridge bus –and not the CoCo RS232 serial port– booting up the FujiNet CONFIG program. Shows the splash and goes into the menu! The prototype board uses a PicoROM wired direct to the bus, all IO is sent out over the USB port. This is the same technique currently being used by the MSX FujiNet prototype too.
