Unfortunately we are seeing a widespread use of software as an alternative to corporate networks that does not encrypt private messages and user data. Mastodon makes it very easy to sniff on users and should be rejected by a community of people with many having a professional background in programming and security. As I already received a lot of harassment for pointing out facts I prefer to stay private.
