Urchins look boring from a distance but up close they're super busy. Pseudoboletia sp.
Costa Rican immigrant geckos. I did see one native gecko last week (a yellow-headed) but didn't manage to get a photo.
One of my greatest complaints about living in Minnesota is the lack of lizards. My MN house is so, so full of beetles, even in February!
The two prongs on the back of this spider shimmer as it walks so that from any distance it looks like a fly or a bee with wings. Very weird mimicry!

Evening visitor
First look at a sun bittern! It gave us a few glimpses of its wings before settling down to its meal.
A critter that's entirely new to me: long-eared owls. We spent a long time not seeing them and then, once we saw them, a long time laughing at their fashion choices.
