IMO The most fantastic and unbelievable detail of The #Hobbit is that on any given night, in a home with only one occupant, and in the absence of refrigeration, Bilbo has enough food in his storeroom (including fruit, produce and cheese) to feed an entire party.
Dried meats, sealed cheese wheels and some herbs and garlic I can see that working for, but produce? The dragon is more realistic.

Tonight's NYE party features pulled pork tacos, so I'm making two pork shoulders. The one on the right is simply seasoned with salt and herbs. (to accommodate my wife's tastes) The one on the left is wild boar, (caught in Texas, where they're an invasive species, so everybody wins) which has a chili lime rub.
And now the spit goes into the grill. See you in 3+ hours!

It seems like half the internet was talking about if today, but my wife and I just finished watching Guillermo del Toro’s #Frankenstein, and it was… *Incredible*
Cannot recommend it enough. If it’s not nominated for an Oscar, Hollywood has lost all taste.
