I have a friend who did an Autism assessment, the result of which was, to paraphrase: If you were assessed as a child, you almost certainly would've been diagnosed with Asperger's. But you've developed sufficient coping skills to avoid being diagnosed at this point in your life.
Isn't that basically saying: yes you broke your leg, but you spent years fashioning a splint out of a log, so you can kinda walk now, so your leg isn't really broken anymore?
