Ngl, I kind of did skip the queue. When people started posting pictures of their GabeCubes last week, I broke down and bought a Minisforum AtomMan instead. Though when my turn eventually comes I'll be surprised if I'll be able to act sensibly and not also get the GabeCube.

Your regular reminder that it doesn't matter how hard your favourite Linux distro's no-LLM policy goes, the only way to get a slop free distro is to use anything released before about 2023 and never upgrade it.

@VANTABlack2000 I wouldn't expect something like Mint, which is already pretty far removed from Ubuntu's default setup, to automatically adopt Ubuntu's worse choices in this case, but I don't know the specifics of what Canonical is planning to ship, so I can't say for sure.
