@foolishowl@social.coop I've always been split about unknown numbers. I used to have one. I didn't like that companies I called stored my number without my permission and then sent back sales calls. But then my friends would never know it was me calling, and wouldn't always pick up.
The telephone service as always been just awfully designed from the very start. How is it that we still can't simply block calls? No unknown numbers allowed, just block calls. Or better yet, implement a whitelist.

Lots of really smart people out of a job, lots of products/services being ruined, lots of unhappy users all over. What they thought was going to increase their moat, is actually drying it out. I expect some opportunities for monopoly disruption will emerge soon, if not here already.

@theleftistlawyer@mastodon.social We can support trans rights without this gatekeeping.
People want to be addressed a certain way, I'll happily accommodate them to their hearts delight. Want trans rights, or any human rights, I'll support, vote, and advocate it.
Want to add a redundant pronoun to an intro, the majority of the population doesn't need, no thanks. And the outing isn't a compelling argument. If you get misgendered, the correct pronoun is going to out you, if you don't, you don't need the pronoun.
