@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social It’s basically just ”divide and conquer” in the information space. We’re engaging with his divisive statements, and not the fact that Tesla and SpaceX are crashing. The interview was published the day after Teslas disappointing report from what i can tell… He is betting that the ”Musk is failing” narrative will not take hold. It’s the exact same tactics as Trump.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Network connections. Robots will not be able to carry all computing power theh need is my guess, at least not if they are relatively ”intelligent”. That means communication links are essential. I imagine ”motherships” with computing power close to the ”active” drones that share the computing resources. Like a brain with limbs. Mess up the brain or the connections, and the limbs will die.

@noelreports@mstdn.social maybe he is laying the groundwork for a narrative that will allow him to stop the war without looking too weak. He can’t just say ”mission accomplished” yet though, but he can, as he already has, shrink the stated ambitions. He will stop the war when the states goals and the actual situation converges, and this is a step in that direction. He can also silence any differing views with his brand new shiny surveillance tools once he declares victory.

Narcissism can be such a blocker for learning. The first step of learning is often to accept your own ignorance, and then often having your ignorant ass handed to you time and time again. I doubt many narcissists can stand that process for long.

The world is self regulating in elegant ways sometimes - knowledge is power after all.

Most western systems are all about keeping the lower classes occupied and uninformed while the higher classes make the real policy. The key word is occupied - enough income for food and the occasional new car, but not enough to do damage. That system is hard to change. In some places politics are almost Chinese, but rich people are hand picking politicians instead of an aligned committee.
