Back in elementary school, I got to thinking about the meaning of life. I realized it's different for everyone. But, for me, my life's worth can be measured by how much I'm able to leave the world a better, happier, fairer place for the people around me.

It's been my guiding principle ever since. That's been the hardest part of being disabled. Feeling stuck and useless. It means so much when I'm able to do something that matters.
