@nixCraft@mastodon.social I have 30TB of storage so that's not a problem. My M1 MacStudio is still doing everything I want so it's safe. I'd like to replace my XPS 9310 with a Framework but I'm just not willing to purchase RAM and storage at current prices

@nazokiyoubinbou When iOS was introduced we had BlackBerry OS, MeeGo, and Tizen all were incredibly popular Ubuntu touch didn't come around until the duopoly had been established. My BB 8830 world is probably my favorite cell phone and I've had one since 1992 or so

@electropict @TechConnectify In America we don't talk about things like that. We Europeans and Americans also don't talk about how big cars have gotten in the last 30-40 years. The Europeans at least offer new models that are smaller but in the states its a big nope. Modern VW Polo's are bigger than MK 1 and 2 Golf's I posted my big rant about this on Lemmy

@cstross on my Macs I switched form FF to Orion as a secondary browser because FF kept changing settings after updates. I don't love Orion but I'm a Kagi user so its convenient and uses FF extensions.

@Beggarmidas @GeePawHill UHC does not mean single payer, we could fairly easily adopt the German or Swiss system. It would require some level of cost control at point of use, some tort reform, and some tweaks to higher education.

@Daojoan Ray Kroc and Tim Cook I don't think either cared much about what was being made, they cared about how to do it better. Mary Barra and Ferdinand Piëch one is GM royalty the other is a Porsche. Piëch was a car guy and created the VW of today through acquisition. Barra isn't really a car person and created the GM of today by divesting GM of companies and partnerships. I wouldn't call with company unsuccessful. Some people just like to solve problems
