I'm sure it looks like I'm hard on her when I keep pulling her up by the harness to keep walking. But what you don't see is that she walked away from the house without any trouble, and the moment we turn towards home, she MUST lay down every three feet. #DogsOfMastodon

@AoifeGreenhamIllustrations@mastodon.ie I keep a large, 7 day, am and pm pillholder. It is big and colorful and eye catching and each day and time is labeled clearly. I keep it on the bathroom counter where I do my getting ready every morning and before bed. I've had trouble in the past remembering if I've taken my pills yet, like I've accidentally skipped them or taken a double dose. With the pillholder, I can go look at it and clearly see if I've taken them yet for that block of time.

@Iloo@mastodon.social @miffyhelen@beige.party The things I see in older people I admire are connection, contentment, and kindness. Connection to people, animals, the environment. Contentment like joy and resilience in challenging circumstances. Kindness to others and self, always giving grace. I think I will have lived a good life if I get to the end with all of these.

@vagina_museum @MamaLake If you're having pain, reach out for help. It doesn't have to be that way. If you're having unbearable pain, see a doctor. That's not normal. You're not "gross" because you're on your period. You're not "gross" if you use a pad instead of a tampon. Period panties can make you a lot more comfortable. Reuseable cloth pads can help hugely with chaffing. Going through biological cycles is normal. Bleeding is normal. And if guys had to do it, we'd absolutely have PTO for it!

@mayintoronto @Kierkegaanks @NilaJones it's so interesting isn't it? In some ways I'm not as close to internet friends. Friendships do tend to taper off as our relationship and technology needs change over time. But I still usually have far more in common with the people I connect with online than irl friends. This affinity gives special weight to the interactions I have with internet friends, even though our ties are more ephemeral. Like butterflies drinking from the same puddle. ☺️

I mulched my evergreen magnolia's fallen leaves about 18 months ago and mixed it with some garden soil to decompose. This spring I finally planted some seedlings in it and this is the best water retaining soil I've ever seen. I'm using it for a raised bed, so it is perfect. 🌱
