@iron_bug Те костные наушники, которые продержались 5 лет стоили 2000 рублей с чем-то и я покупал их в 2014 году в магазине слепецких товаров. Следующие наушники уже Bluetooth'ные покупал позже за 7000 рублей по-моему, а следующие и на данный момент последние стоили уже 13000 примерно. Причём последние также сломались, почти когда гарантия закончилась, они резко перестали включаться и подавать признаки жизни. Их отремонтировали и потом они погнулись (правый наушник не прилегал к уху), но это скорее всего из-за моего не очень качественного обращения с ними.

@iron_bug Да, цены просто конские. К сожалению, у меня часто эти наушники ломались ровно через год, как я их покупал. Проводные работали 5 лет. Ну эти наушники понятное дело для сведения и не предназначены. У меня открытые студийные наушники, которые ещё от брата достались. В закрытых болят уши от надавливания.

@iron_bug Мне они помогали тем, что они не нагружают сильно уши, после них нет заложенности или усталости. Они не вставляются и не надеваются на уши, а прилегают к костям впереди уха и у них имеется такой как ободок сзади, на котором они держатся. Звук поступает в уши, при этом они остаются открытыми, что удобно и важно. К сожалению, проводных наушников таких я не находил. Если были бы такие, которые могли бы подключаться и по проводу и по Bluetooth было бы очень хорошо.

@iron_bug У меня сенсоневральная тугоухость 4 степени на левое ухо. Наушники я использую только накладные в случаях, когда мне надо сводить каверы, проводить занятия, играть в игры, где без наушников не обойдёшься и надо ориентироваться на звук или когда общаюсь с людьми в Дискорде и им не надо слышать мой скринридер. В остальных случаях всегда работаю на ноутбучных/телефонных колонках. С телефоном наушники не использую никогда. Раньше были с костной проводимостью, но они сломались, а новые покупать дороговато для таких. Пробки не было, только синяк, как я писал ранее. Через неделю буду аудиограму делать.

Сегодня ходил к лору, с ушами всё в порядке, единственное, сказали, что есть небольшой синяк на перепонке,, который мог возникнуть из-за удара или использования ватных палочек, хотя их не использую и не ударялся. Это должно пройти самостоятельно, буду делать аудиограму на следующей неделе. Спасибо всем, кто давал советы и интересовался!

С воскресенья у меня что-то с левым ухом. Сначала было ощущение, будто в него залилась вода. Потом началось ощущение заложенности и оно есть до сих пор. Щёлкая челюстью в попытках отложить его оно либо закладывается сильнее, либо ничего не происходит. У меня было такое раньше с правым ухом, но это проходило. В среду пойду к врачу. Хочется поиграть на выходных в Diablo, благо я там уже немного продвинулся, начав компанию сначала, но надо использовать наушники, без них никак. Подожду, пока всё восстановится, благо есть, чем заняться.

@Yinshi@mastodon.social Жесть. Могу предположить, что это может быть произошло из-за синхронизации если на других машинах, на которых был вход в ту же учётную запись Microsoft также добавлялись раскладки. Чтобы раскладка пропала, надо её добавить и ещё раз удалить.

There is a bug in Windows 10/11 that if you install Spanish or German language pack with OneCore voices you won't be able to remove these installed voices later. Remove button will be simply disabled. However I noticed that after something Spanish mexican voice was removed, maybe that happened after windows update or after I changed interface language to Spanish. These voices that cannot be removed don't bother me that much but on the other hand why to keep extra voices? Maybe there is an accessibility feedback address where I can send the information about this issue? I heard there is Microsoft Disability Desk but I don't know how effective it would be to send that there. #Accessibility #TTS #Windows #OneCore

Hi all! Question for language learners: how do you usually search for native speakers if you are not living in the country where the language you're learning is spoken natively? I used language exchange apps like Tandem and Hellotalk before, but Tandem's accessibility got so bad in recent years that the app became really unusable on iOS. I started playing Diablo IV on a pc. It's great that there is no audio ducking as on PS5. The first issue that I didn't understand how to solve yet is how to understand where to go after I've reached the destination point? I just randomly walk to find the NPC to talk to or NPC that is written in the task description. But still it is a bit frustrating.

@clv1@mementomori.social Thank you for your suggestion! Iheard about speechd-el but have never tried using it. I tried to learn using Emacs with Emacspeak but it seemed really complicated since it is a whole new way of working with screenreader for me, however Emacspeak is not a screenreader but an audio environment... But still this system with buffers is something really new to me.

One of the things I really would like to try doing is to apply patches to Emacspeak to fix Unicode support and add Multispeech support so russian users could use the latest Emacspeak with latest Emacs with russian support. However, I don't have any knowledge of lisp. I think if AI could help me in applying git patches but I am not sure about it. Maybe it is worth trying because if something happens to russian Emacspeak version developer, nobody takes over that.

Question for blind Twitch streamers. How do you set up your OBS to have a good sound quality? I have my Shure SM58LCE microphone but it's sound is pretty quiet without any configuration as expected. I think how I could add effects to OBS as VST plug-ins but I am not sure configuring these plug-ins like iZotope RX de-esser is accessible in OBS itself. I have an idea to add plug-ins from Reaper but I am not sure about others. My Yamaha AG03 mixer has it's own effects and they are configured, but I think I could achieve more with VST plug-ins that I can control. @accessibleandroid Hello! There is one issue I've noticed with this app and I am not sure how to fix it. When I open a manual for "Soft braille keyboard" by pressing the button in the app it opens paper2audio with empty screen instead of opening the google document in default browser. I tried to change that links open in the browser and not in paper2audio app but it didn't help. I had to remove the app because of that. Do you maybe know how it can be fixed? Or I should contact the developer about that and there is no solution for that in Android? Thank you!

In case of russian instance where I am, there are 2 bots who repost what is posted in russian or with cyrilic letters usage. So what I found for myself is following people that this bot boosts and and following people who are boosted by my followings. That is how I find English users, I follow what people boost. Maybe there are also other ways to explore new accounts, I saw there were tabs to look server's posts in mobile apps. Not sure how about FastSM.

Or if I post with hashtag people who follow it will find it so there will be more engagement with the post? If hashtags are only like filters here, it means that this is the same like in Telegram where they are used to categorize posts in a channel and it doesn't make huge sense in using them then.

It is great that hashtags are used in Mastodon as much as they were in Twitter, I already forgot how it was since I didn't use Twitter for ages and in Telegram hashtags are used to categorize things. One person that is new to Mastodon asked me what I can recommend to do if they don't know who to follow on new account, what to start with. I actually don't remember what I did since it was 6 years ago and when I returned 2 weeks ago I already had some accounts I follow. They use native Mastodon app, I don't know what they could do if they used FastSM. Maybe there are some recommendations or something like that for those that don't have any followings? Like list of posts or whatever?

@meganmariehart@mastodon.social I never use hashtags on Mastodon since I forgot that they were used in Twitter. They are not used in Telegram. In case of Russian mastodon there are 2 bots that boost your posts if they are written in russian. I have no idea how they are boosted if they are written in English and how, let's say, a person would find somebody to follow in Mastodon if he only registered and wants to find something to read and interact with.
