We are the party with a plan to tackle the cost of living, and a long term plan to shelter us from wars that lead to fuel shortages and price hikes. We worked to lower childcare costs in government (which FG/FFl have cut back on) and we introduced energy credits to help people struggling with the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war.
In the long term we want to see a proper shift away from fossil fuels so that we don’t find ourselves in this position again.

Homelessness is a massive issue and has been a core part of my campaign. We need to deliver homeless services nationwide, end the over-concentration of services in D1 so that people can access the services they need, with dignity, in their community.

Women’s rights are best represented by women who have a record of delivering them, not men who have no record of working to protect women while purporting to do so.

Thank you so much Malcolm Noonan for this endorsement. Arts is something I care deeply about and it brings a real vibrancy to the inner city. I’ve spent a lot of time on it, working to bring new spaces to the inner city and pushing the council to value our arts and culture. I want to bring that fight and passion for the arts to Dáil Éireann, and if you share my values, please vote for me on May 22nd.

Debtors prison is just one example of many vacant and derelict buildings in Dublin that could be community spaces, museums, arts spaces, even homes or commercial spaces. We need ambition, we need someone who will fight to put these old buildings back into use and to breathe life into the city again. I know I have that fight in me. If you vote for me on May 22nd I’ll get to work straight away on fighting for the Dublin we deserve.

Green Party Leader Roderic O’Gorman has criticised the vote by Sinn Féin and the Social Democrats in support of the Government’s Critical Infrastructure Bill, which guts a key provision of the Climate Action Act.
“The Social Democrats and Sinn Féin united with the Government and other Opposition parties like Aontú and Independent Ireland, to gut the Climate Action Act, by ratifying S.7 of the Critical Infrastructure Bill”.

I fought to repeal the eight amendment in 2018, my mum fought to stop the eight amendment being added in 1983. I am so proud of how far we have come, and of continuing in her footsteps, but we have further yet to go. I am happy to see my colleague and party leader Roderic signing the Social Democrats bill to remove the three day wait period, decriminalise medical professionals, and finally stop women from having to travel outside the state.

Imagine if we could do half the things with the Liffey that they do in other cities.
It’s a lifeline that runs through our home, but it can be a real amenity too. It was great to get out kayaking to film on the Liffey over the weekend.
Dublin has brilliant summers, it would be great to spend them enjoying our river. A big part of that will involve cleaning it up, and keeping it looked after, something I will fight for.

My team was busy last weekend putting up diamonds all over Dublin. Thanks so much to everyone who volunteered and to everyone who has been complementing the colours and message of them. I have a strong vision for Dublin, a positive vision of the Dublin we deserve. Please vote for me on May 22nd so I can bring that vision to the Dáil and start working to deliver it.

The Liffey is an icon of Dublin, but it’s also a dividing line - Northside from the Southside. There are politicians in this election who want to further that division. They want to divide us along the lines of race, class, gender, and religion and they want to turn that division into votes. But I don’t think that’s what Dublin is about. When you’re out on the Liffey you can see clearly that we are one city. And I think that unity is an idea worth defending.

This endorsement from Grace @GraceOSllvn@respublicae.eu means so much to me, her legacy of bringing the occupied territories bill through the Seanad and then getting the nature restoration law passed in Europe is what I aspire to. I have the experience to be a great TD for Dublin. Please vote for me on May 22nd.

People love the Hugh Lane Gallery, which is why it makes sense that I’m always being asked when it’s gonna be open again.
The bad news is we still have a few years to wait, the good news is that when it reopens it’s gonna be ready to connect into a brand new city library that is gonna bring new life to the area, bringing new life and civic space to the square.

34 buses ordered and delivered, now we just need the government to fund the O Spine to connect up the inner city.

Wouldn’t be anywhere without my extremely dedicated canvassers! It’s strange to trust other people to sell yourself to strangers on the door but they have been fantastic. The conversations and feedback have been amazing on the doors I’ve not been able to get to and I really appreciate it!

It’s about time these compactors have come to the north side. Everyone is fed up with having to walk over plastic bags in the city centre, or seeing seagulls and pests tearing them apart to get food and pulling the rush out all over the place.
It comes up so often on the doors so I’m happy to say we finally have the solution in place.

I raised in the council chamber the issue of dereliction.
If a property owner can get off the derelict sites register just by adding a lick of paint and not addressing any of the major interior issues of the building we’ll have a colourful city full of uninhabitable buildings about to collapse.
We need stronger legislation to tackle dereliction and vacancy to properly empower our local authorities. If this matters to you please vote Janet Horner no 1 on May 22nd.

If we want to make cycling safe for young people we have to invest in infrastructure, watered down and poorly designed infrastructure only leads to increased frustration.

I was delighted to be outside Leinster House yesterday supporting Malcolm and his cross-party colleagues bill to fund wildlife rescuers. I was even happier to see it pass in the Seanad!
Wildlife rescues do valuable work protecting our wildlife from pollution and habitat loss, and most of it is done voluntarily and with a heavy reliance on donations. Their work deserves proper funding to make sure we don’t lose it.

Remember when Capel Street used to be choked up with traffic?
Now it’s full of people relaxing enjoying local businesses, cycling through to get to their next destination, sitting on the benches, or taking a leisurely stroll chatting with their mates.
I’m proud to have pushed for this change. We pushed back against the scaremongering and created a street that people love so much.
This is the Dublin we deserve.

My speech on @raycunningham@mastodon.ie ‘s motion to phase out HGVs with high blind spots in the city centre. I was really happy to see this pass in the council chamber last night.
The motion requires HGVs to seek permits to operate in parts of the city with progressively higher visibility standards required, similar to what we see in London.
My thoughts are with to the family and loved ones of Johnny Santos.

"Prices fell to an average of €94.20 on the days with the most wind energy while increased to €179.10 when the country relied on imported fossil fuels."
I dunno... I'm starting to think fossil fuels may not be the future after all...

It was so great to meet Hannah Spencer today in Denton and talk about both of our Bye-Election campaigns. Hannah has proved that a message of hope in the face of hate, and positivity can really resonate with people. That doesn’t mean ignoring serious issues or abandoning your values, but bringing solutions instead of just negativity.
