In the Gorton and Denton by election in the U.K., Reform got 10,000 votes, while Green and Labour got 25,000 between them. That means that any way the votes would have fallen between Green and Labour,

In the Gorton and Denton by election in the U.K. the Greens won comfortably. But if Labour had let Andy Burnham stand he would have also won comfortably.
This fact should stop the Greens getting too overexcited about the strength of their victory, but, somehow, I don't think it will.

As charming as ever, Matt Goodwin of Reform conceded defeat in the Gorton and Denton by election by describing the Green Party victory as "a coalition of Islamists and woke progressives that came together to dominate the constituency”.
Whatever, loser. That quote will be on a t shirt in Longsight market by teatime.

That means that any way the votes would have fallen between Green and Labour, Reform would still have lost.
So the key message of both Greens and Labour's campaign, that theirs was the only party that could keep Reform out, was complete bullshit.
