The Earth has systems for moving energy from the sun-facing side to the dark space facing side. The energy gets radiated out into space. It's our main cooling system for shedding excess heat.
As each mechanism for moving energy gets pushed to its limit, it strains the ones connected to it and they get closer to failing too. At some point they cascade.
What this looks like is not just higher overall average temps, but weather that is more chaotic. More sudden changes. More intense sudden changes. Unexpected weather at the wrong times of year.
The sort of stuff movie makers have used for decades to show that the planet was in danger, except we're living in it, right now. It's already begun.
Like COVID & Measles, there's a curve. And we've missed the easy fixes already. But it's not too late to put on the brakes and let the Earth heal from human greed.

Yes, to all of this! I started around the same age as you (I'm...a bit older now). It's so encouraging to me to know that young people are able to get this knowledge so much earlier now. Even in places where we are oppressed, at least they *know*.
