@emjonaitis i don't have a solution, but I would likely clone the repo to codeberg, then initiate an new girnrepo with a single readme with the new location stated in it, force push that , then set the GitHub repo to archive status

@unicornCoder@fosstodon.org Thats so reasonable and healthy, I think! My current state keeps me from engaging too much, but I can see it may become an issue in the future. I'll have to keep an eye on it! Instagram and TikTok are done for me, because as you say, you just loose time!

@unicornCoder@fosstodon.org I think the algorithm for the discovery feed if better that xitter's is/was. But you can also choose to remove it and just have feeds you want your self. That could help reduce possible triggers and trolls.

@unicornCoder@fosstodon.org personally, I'm enjoying it a lot. But I know not everyone is. Currently, the #rstats community there has a lot of the old xitter vibe that was really awesome from like 10 years ago. I don't engage with anything other than that and other coding things mainly. And am finding that engagement is larger than here. But I think you are right to have some apprehension, unfortunately. It's not all roses, but there are quite some tools to moderate your feed.

@hrbrmstr @hye @debruine Docs are plentiful and some times complex and long. Rds are known for being difficult to parse and dissect for important information. Cognitive load in capturing all the details of how #rstats does things is high, and we all have demands on our time. Some things are harder to capture than others. I recently pointed this option out to a well-known R developer and they had not caught it themselves.

@debruine there is an argument that is check.names (or the like, I'm on phone so check it). Set it to FALSE and you will be allowed to name anything you like
