  The Coding Assistant documentation for the Linux Kernel says "All code must be compatible with GPL-2.0-only" How does that make sense for LLMs? Validating that *somehow* AI Coding Assistants are compatible with GPL sounds like a dangerous direction. It adds reason that the way LLMs extracted content is legal.   As someone who's very into collective solutions on most levels of living and society, I have to say that people with their own house/apartment have better incentives for maintenance. And I like maintenance. Anyways, that translates quite well for the federated internet, no? No one ever cleans up their Gmail account... Big Tech gives us no incentive to do maintenance of our data etc. But once we're responsible for servers running out of storage space, we start to see the conseq...

  I hope people can see through the whole scheme with Mythos, whether their claims are true or not: It's to lodge AI into our stack as a mandatory tool. If we don't use Mythos, someone else will use it on our software / dependencies. (which can make enterprise customers show up with a lot of money 💸) If it ends up like that, we should definitely have common/collective scanning platforms.. rather than individualized (= more data center pollution and money for AI bros).
