The Coding Assistant documentation for the Linux Kernel says "All code must be compatible with GPL-2.0-only"
How does that make sense for LLMs? Validating that *somehow* AI Coding Assistants are compatible with GPL sounds like a dangerous direction. It adds reason that the way LLMs extracted content is legal.
Docs then go on to assign *attribution* to the AI coding tool, which may even be worse.
Anyone know of a qualified discussion? 🙏
