  I suspect apolitical abstention is the more depressed sibling of the apolicity imposed by voting. Voting is a false image of power and agency and even that abject Spectacle fails to appeal to the apolitical abstentee. What then does that tell us about political life? Like, instead of blaming people for not voting for 99% Hitler, why don't you spend a bajillion pesos into making 15% Hitler winnable? Why is it always the apolitical abstentee's fault and not the liberal opposition?
