kinda frustrating reviews for POM POKO keep trying to make the same joke about testicles when it's a tragicomedy about Earth grief, the futility of ecoextremist struggle against growth and the Anthropocene, the sunset of magic in the world, and the surrender to modernity.

Like in the climax where they produce one last glamour, no longer to scare humans, but a glamour to show the world as it once was, and then seeing images of themselves as cubs, rush to meet them, breaking the glamour to harsh reality, and be told how close they are to the city...
