  The library's got nothing. The bookstore (physical)'s got nothing. The bookstore (online)'s only got very expensive or entirely useless books.   I've gotten used to the idea of messing up my back in my sleep. Roll over into a bad position, stay there for a couple of hours, easy. I don't like it, but at least I understand it.   Hey @crispius, there's a term on the tip of my tongue that's just not coming to me, and I bet you know what I'm thinking of. IIRC, you take an old PC or something, you set it up in a certain way, and you put it between your home WiFi and your ISP connection. Increase privacy, strip out ads, that kind of stuff. Or maybe it's done with a Raspberry Pi? What am I thinking of?

  My cable/internet company knows about my thermostat, by brand name. I don't recall connecting it to our wifi. I specifically told the guy installing it that I didn't want that. The only stated purpose of it being connected to the wifi is for us to put apps on our phone to change the temperature away from the wall. We've never installed those apps, we don't want them.   I have resisted for so long trying to make a grilled cheese sandwich with mayonnaise instead of butter on the bread.   Moss absolutely *thrives* in the cracks in my driveway. I like moss. I would like moss to grow indoors like a houseplant. Any time I try, the moss dies. Perhaps it's me. Perhaps it doesn't like me. If I spent more time outside, the moss out there would probably die. Maybe other things, too, because I can't get a tree to grow inside, either. It may very well be that, by mostly staying indoors, I am single-handedly saving the planet. You're welcome.
