I see wealthy white men with tenure endlessly complaining about university administrators maiming the academic system for personal gain. If they are subject to these forces in their own domain, what chance do I have against them?" In particular is something I have been struggling with recently. @caten@mathstodon.xyz The unsustainable nature of this system will inevitability lead to it's collapse, case and point. In this case, corporitization of academia makes it repel and lose real academics. Similar to how Spain is able to be hardy and resist oil war nonsense and tell the U.S. not to use their airspace because they use so much renewable solar energy. Capitalism plants the seeds of it's own destruction. Solarpunk, community-centered, sustainable ways of life are the only way forward. #capitalism #solarpunk #environmentalism #ecocentrism #community #politics #
