New blog post: https://ohhelloana.blog/overthinking-ai/ A post without any conclusion, solution or nothing. Just thoughts, processing memories and feelings. Yesterday I was thinking about why I gave up one of my passions: films. And I jot down how the heartbreak is similar to stupid AI. Whatever.

  • @anarodrigues This is such a powerful post. Thank you! That pain feels awfully familiar. We lose so many good things in this world at the moment that we somehow took for granted and a lot of people seem to just carry on and don't care and that makes the pain even worse.

@anarodrigues a moving post, hit me deeply. I recently moved my career towards multimedia and web development, so imagine how I feel about genAI... The Fediverse is a refuge for crafters, that's the only positive take about this.

  • @anarodrigues You put so many of my own wishy-washy thoughts into such beautiful words. Thank you for writing this. It’s nice to feel a little less alone. ❤️

@anarodrigues Thank you – and be reminded that there are quite some people that do not want to accept this neither. I admire the consequence by turning away from the toxic situations.

@anarodrigues this was a great read! it’s hard to see people so enthusiastically capitulating to technology that does so much harm. i’ve done my share of crying as well. glad to hear that you’ve found joy in other crafts. i started hand sewing and it’s been nice to have other creative outlets that aren’t screen based.

@anarodrigues I’ve been thinking about this constantly since I read it yesterday. Especially this part: They (and so am I) are disgusted by the lack of ethics, environmental consequences, the horrible uses of AI on the daily, horrible companies, horrible people. And we are looking around and everyone else is eating it up and enjoying it. Thank you for putting into words exactly how I feel about this. 💜
