The Tour de France is cool, but the big endurance cycling event of the year just started today in Norway. Do you remember when clickable things and interactive controls on the web had a design that distinguished them from plain text? Outright angry at Linear today, which is an issue tracker with pretty charts but no visible buttons to close an issue. Turns out you click on a plain status label and it magically turns into a dropdown. I expect you're supposed to tell an agent to figure it out. No highly esteemed deed of design is commemorated here.

Programmers! Did you know you can fairly choose a random item from a list in a single pass, without knowing the total number of items in advance, and in constant, minimal space?
