@guffo @zzt I think LLM "AI" and NFT are essentially the same grift, anyway. Just more backers for "AI" who should know better but are too greedy. Same as all the other late stage capitalism grifts and crises in the crumbling empires of the world.

If that sounds ridiculous to you, and you question how that could ever work, you're right! They don't.

@guffo I dunno, the stupidity of NFTs still hold up for me. It’s literally owning numbers associated with a thing that gives you no special rights or uses to that thing. The purest possible grift. Does anything really beat that? AI is infuriating, and causes lots of harm, but I don’t think its main vice is that its a dumb idea.
