@onepict@chaos.social Yeah, I have similar feelings but I've also noticed that I'm in much more language sensitive than the average person. There's an entire list of terms and phrases that bug me to various extents.

@onepict@chaos.social I think its something that got adopted colloquialy by first saying it out of ridicule for those people and got eaten up by the rest of brainrot slang. I want to feel that people are better and smarter than to be on board with trash beliefs, but younger people are more subject to peer pressure based on the things going on around them and will adopt without thinking very hard. I agree, its icky as hell, and best is to lead by example by being so accepting that they think harder and grow out of it. If you are close enough to maybe talk to them about it.

@onepict@chaos.social Yes. I have yet to meet someone using "minmaxxing" as a word, but I can already tell you, they won't join any group I'm in.
