@onepict@chaos.social Yeah, I have similar feelings but I've also noticed that I'm in much more language sensitive than the average person. There's an entire list of terms and phrases that bug me to various extents.

@ainmosni@social.ainmosni.eu It is a tricky balance, I do think that the origins of these words and the context in which they arose does matter. While we do worry about alienating others, I do think that how folks choose to react to that information about that language is telling. Especially if there's been some other warning signs. So I don't think you are being over sensitive.
