broke my arm. any tips or thoughts from other folks who type for a living on how to get back to productive (after first few days rest)

    @EWDurbin Man I hated the 6-8 weeks recovery I had... I ended up typing one handed for most of the time because the other options were awful. Thankfully it was my non-dominant arm which was broken.

    @EWDurbin Switch to the spare arm. Hold on to the rails on stairs, you can't afford to fall again until it heals up.

    @EWDurbin Dammit Ee :( Breaking things is bad, kay? No tips for arms specifically, but I will say: this will affect all of you, not just your typing or your arm. Do not underestimate how much time you will need to properly recover. Don't try to rush it. The impact on the rest of you can manifest in surprising ways, so take extra care!

    @EWDurbin I had rotator cuff surgery about four weeks ago now. I've been using MacWhisper for voice-to-text dictation. It’s not perfect, but I’m getting better. There's also been a lot of frustrated one-handed typing, so that's a thing.
