After following 78 and 287 for a little while, it seems to have finally landed, at Somerset Airport (which is also _relatively_ close to the start of its tracked flight path, which pretty obviously picked up after takeoff) #NewJersey

@ivory@tapbots.social any guesses as to why this toot refuses to show up (on iPadOS)? Triggers the “uh idk chief, try a browser?” popup (if searched for directly) or is just mysteriously invisible when I’m viewing one of the replies to it. https://wandering.shop/@fugueish/116903557849673420

Some really interesting divergences in @ricci@discuss.systems’ hashtag tool, with a semi popular tech nerd instance as the medium and my home of #SocialCoop as the smol: https://tag-federation.online/#tag=caturday&servers=mastodon.social,infosec.exchange,social.coop - Caturday broadly as visible here as on infosec.exchange, both being a sizable majority of m.s. Invoke 3.0 is out! It's one of those backwards-compatible-in-all-but-name releases, though it does drop support for Python <3.9. https://www.pyinvoke.org/changelog.html#3.0.0 I say "in all but name" because there is a minor API change, and it affects Fabric, which has also gotten a tiny packaging metadata release, 3.2.3, to mark it incompatible with Invoke >=3.0. (And Fabric is now the last of my projects not to get the pyproject.toml / drop now-very-ol...

Idly wondering how folks who are deep into personal web archiving (i.e. keeping full clones of pages or sites they've bookmarked) handle sharing those snapshots with friends or the general public, especially in this age of abusive bot scrapers. Guessing the answer is "keep it all behind lock and key, and deal with the friction that represents on both ends"? Maybe some form of ephemeral/unguessable/unlisted sharing URL? (and obviously, bespoke tactics like Anubis.) I&a...
