@henryseg The dodecahedron-icosahedron variant would be quite a thing. Conversely, I suppose you could also do one which transforms between tetrahedron and, er, tetrahedron. I can’t quite visualise how interesting that might be.

@henryseg Cool! I was wondering if the 6 black gears at the cube faces/octahedron vertices could be replaced by 8 gears at the cube vertices/octahedron faces. I think it should work since each "mesh" again consists of an even number of gears: 6 instead of the current 8. 6 of the 12 edges would then rotate in the opposite direction.
