Here's all they'd have to do: * Create a chatbot in an app * Give users over 18 the normal chat bot * Give users under 18 a chat bot where they subtly give the user more manipulative responses. You can vibe code that now except right now, there's no way to know with certainty how old the user is. With age verification, they know for sure who to target.

@wwahammy Yeah... I sent basically that to my local reps. With these sorts of laws, anyone can make a website, app, whatever, get the age (or age bracket or whatever) check for it, identify potential victims automatically, and flag them as such - providing a "child friendly" version designed specifically to exploit those who were flagged as underage. It's such an obvious attack vector.

@wwahammy that’s a feature not a bug, I bet

@wwahammy what i am personally worried about is the possible repurposing of these “child-friendly measures” for more extreme conditions (say, requiring ID to access the Internet in times of crises/wars, where any any action online will immediately be tied to your identity - how could that go wrong, right?). That’s what happened with Russian regulators: first they started blocking sites distributing CSAM, drug sales, torrent trackers, etc.), developed the infrastructure and then… well, now you can’t use the internet properly without a solid VPN or byeDPI instruments. I’d like to think the rest of the world would learn from our mistakes… p.s. I’m sure other people have pointed this out already, but i still wanted to share my thoughts on the matter.

@wwahammy “ These legislators are serving up [child] victims on a silver platter” … just as they like them. 😐

@wwahammy on the other hand, it would be less expensive for agents provocateurs to target the under-18 versions of everything. So actually, children will be learnt to exist in a social environment with higher percentage of spy actors, who just pretend they are like them to attract potential predators. What would possibly gone wrong with social environment, where high percentage of actors are either predators or predator hunters?

@wwahammy It's true. I have a little Minecraft server that is a safe place for kids to play. I have friends who who are therapists and a psychiatrist who also is on there sometimes,. Many of these kids are their patients. And if I were a less noble person it would be easy to take advantage.

@wwahammy being the elites all pedophiles friendly would not be surprised is their plan: (1) involvment of elites of europe israel and us in eppstein minors sex trafficking (2) involvment of eppstein and his billionaires sponsors buddies in gafami data centers including palantir maybe the laws on age verifications are made to protect the western pedophiles elites ... they want to make sure the children they want to traffic and f*k are really minors ... 🤣

@wwahammy The more you oppose it the more you sound lik a predator or a minor who wont be able to access games or media restricted to adults.

@wwahammy Why would the OS advertise the age status of the user without explicit approval from the user? From the perspective of the app/website you can only tell that the user is an adult if they agreed to confirm their age, or that their status is unknown if they did not confirm their age.

@wwahammy And it is so obvious we really should assume that this is the intent behind these laws. Epstein class ramming it through everywhere.

@wwahammy Just one more oversight that proves it was never for the "safety of childrens", genuinely terrified how much they don't give a fuck about issues like this, that will become real because of their absolute bullshit of laws

@wwahammy Von Der Leyen is total idiot and the EU is world class at getting the opposite of what they legislate against. They are unparalleled in their ability to lean into unintended consequences

@wwahammy ummm...for decades anyone who can type can create a minimal website. It got easier with Markdown, but HTML has never been difficult, and CSS isn't that difficult if you want a bit less minimal.
