Trying out NextSpace on Slackware -current with XLibre. A modern implementation inspired by the classic NeXTSTEP desktop. It's interesting to see how its design and workflow still feel relevant decades later. Definitely a fun project to explore. #Slackware #NextSpace #XLibre #Unix #X11

On Jul 5, a #GarudaLinux user was seeking help related to #XLibre and Garuda packages on the Garuda forum. He's been told to remove XLibre and the thread has been locked.

We fixed the underlying dependency issue and assure you that you're welcome at https://github.com/xlibre-arch

I think I am most content with a tiling window manager and no bar. This is i3 on Artix Linux running on another liberated Chromebox. #Linux #Artix #xLibre #i3wm #wezterm #ChromeBox

Experimenting with more Artix Linux "spins" (that the right word?) This is a USB live boot of Moksha desktop environment. Moksha is interesting to me as it is a continuation of the Enlightenment Desktop, written in C and with BSD style software license. Very #RetroEdge. As configured, and with the choices of included software, it definitely would not be a daily driver for me, but I can see tweaking it a bit would make it more appealing. #Linux #Artix #xLibre #Moksha

The recently released #CDE 2.5.3 runs on #XLibre. That may bring back some memories of good times, tears shed, or other sentiments… Yes, we are almost at the end of 2025, and CDE is still working. More #LiberatedScreens at https://github.com/orgs/X11Libre/discussions/211
