Ich übe zur Zeit Buchsatz in #TexLatex mit Overleaf. Macht schon Spaß. Nachteil ist nur, dass es aus dem Quelltext (mein Manuskript) die Einzüge bei Dialogen nicht übernehmen kann, das wird viel Arbeit, falls ich doch ins SP gehe. Das ist dann wohl der Vorteil von Programmen wie Scribus, aber bei denen brauch ich so lange bis ich da durchsteige. 😬 #schreiben #autorinnen_leben #Buch #Buchsatz #latex

Since Detexify is now #AI slop, I have updated my one-pager of advice for learning mathematics to recommend The Comprehensive LaTeX Symbol List (https://tug.ctan.org/info/symbols/comprehensive/symbols-a4.pdf) for finding symbols. This is kind of a bad solution, since Detexify solved the problem of knowing how to draw the symbol without knowing its name with a very appropriate use of traditional image recognition. It is absurd that there is no #FLOSS tool I can recommend instead. If no one builds it first, it'll go on my list of things to do. I'm happy to announce Badness: a formatter, linter, and language server for LaTeX! It is meant to be a all-in-one replacement for whatever texlab + latexindent/tex-fmt + chkex + bibtex-tidy setup you have going. The goal is to be a Ruff for LaTeX. The architecture is heavily inspired by rust-analyzer.
