#OnPrendLeRelay #Climat #Desinformation #SNCF #petition

Gare de Lyon yesterday evening at 6pm: when you design the waiting spaces so poorly it quickly crumbles at every disruption. Main hall completely overcrowded, it can take 5 minutes to cross it. People sitting on every possible staircase, along every wall in all levels of the station, or seeking fresh air in the privatized shops. Ultimately it's not SNCF's fault that fire damaged the high-speed line, but the poor space design is SNCF Gare & Connections' fault. #canicule #SNCF #SNCFail

SNCF publicly: Being a single organization is our strength, how dare you suggest dividing rail transport in France. SNCF privately: In addition to all the separate companies they have, also has separate TGV divisions organized by Paris terminus, each with its own HR, security and marketing directorates, apparently? Also, this is not what I expected to find after the words "La production TGV" #SNCF #France #rail

Okay, so France's first-ever 200 km/h section being Orléans-Vierzon as part of a Paris-Toulouse connection is some irony, yeah, but… Did SNCF really find direct connections to Les Sables-d'Olonne, some presumably vacation town on the Atlantic coast, so important that they ran TGVs *hauled by diesel locos* there for a few years before electrifying the branch? (So says French Wikipedia) cc @bovine3dom@masto.ai #SNCF #France #rail #bahnbubble
