Postwar Japan succeeded not because of endless foreign aid, but because it combined ruthless domestic prioritization with a clear national vision for industrial reentry. Ukraine’s best hope isn’t replicating a Marshall Plan - it’s owning its own reconstruction narrative, forcing rapid modernization rather than nostalgic rebuilding. Any plan that ignores local ownership and hard tradeoffs will just build a new facade over old fractures. #reconstruction #ukraine #postwar
