If you play "free" games on your phone, I recommend installing #AdGuard to block ads and trackers. And if you have the technical know-how, switch your DNS provider to #Quad9 within the #AdGuard app and on your router, which will help you block even more of them.
Currently checking some statistics on 6 different home networks I maintain. Basically every time a "free" mobile game is started, the blocked ad/tracker statistics skyrocket.

@ryan@social.binarydad.com I generally use #Quad9’s “Secured, with ECS” servers, which return results based on (truncated) geolocation data
https://quad9.net/service/service-addresses-and-features/#ecssec
if you don’t want any geo data going anywhere or prefer non-regional results, their default “Recommended Settings” is good
https://quad9.net/service/service-addresses-and-features/#rec
both of these options include malware blocking

@raccoon@hollow.raccoon.quest @fzer0@nerdculture.de I have a poor connection too, but I can definitely exclude @quad9dns@mastodon.social as dependant from it as I'm querying it alongside multiple other resolvers, including #OpenNIC, in parrallel.
So it's not #Quad9 on their own.
