#pawfed

adding a #pawfed post composer template for my next cat cafe visit

Summer is here, and sadly it is peak season for pet abandonment. #PawFed is a federated map for animal welfare built on #ActivityPub and #OSM. It already shows shelters and vets near you. Found an abandoned animal or need help? Mention @PawFed@pawfed.org from any #Fediverse account: a pin lands on the map, and your call is relayed across the #Fediverse, whatever your instance. Shelter - Cat, Dog I'm testing one of the most wonderful Fediverse projects I have encountered, #PawFed, from the creator of #Fedilab. Here goes. #shelter #info #adoption #boarding address: Mrs Murrays Cat and Dog Home, Brickfield, Seaton, Aberdeen AB24 1XL, UK https://mrsmurrays.co.uk/ A city animal rescue charity that also does boarding. 📢 @yetiinabox@todon.nl #shelter #cat #dog

This is Haru and Tanos. Haru is the black cat. We adopted him from a shelter at two years old, after he lived there his whole life. Tanos is a Malinois. We took him in when his owner could not keep him anymore. Life can change fast, animals are often the first to lose their home. This is why I made #PawFed, a shared map for animal welfare. Not many people use it yet, but it is worth sharing. It relies fully on #ActivityPub and uses #OSM. https://pawfed.org/how-it-works
