@2legged@mastodon.ie Well the govt wants to silence dissent against their complicity in genocide, which is why they abused their power to make #palestineaction a "terrorist group" in the first place. So it only makes sense they would focus on arresting those making the most noise. #LabourFriendsOfGenocide

Luckily for Londoners, this microphone #terrorism was halted by prompt arrest of the #terrorist. I heard no mention of #PalestineAction. It seems that this was a crackdown on Microphone Action. Sir Jonathon Porritt, advisor to King Charles III for 30 years before he was crowned, was arrested under the UK Terrorism Act outside Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday 30th July. As police escorted him away he said “I am a supporter of Palestine Action. Trying to save lives is not terrorism. Exposing this Governments complicity in genocide is not terrorism.” The video has amassed millions of views on social media, with political and media figures outraged at the arrests of Sir Jonathon alongside 152 other peaceful protesters. They had been at the court because their names were listed for court hearings for 2025 “terrorism” arrests after holding pieces of paper in Parliament Square to oppose the proscription of direct action group Palestine Action. The UK Supreme Court has confirmed it will hear an appeal by #PalestineAction co-founder Huda Ammori challenging the government’s proscription of the group as a terrorist organization. The hearing is scheduled for November 4-5

British #police arrested several anti-genocide protesters outside HMP #Bristol Prison after demonstrators gathered to mark the second anniversary of the Filton action, displaying signs in support of the activists involved. The protest commemorated Aug. 6, 2024, when six #PalestineAction activists entered Elbit Systems' Filton facility and damaged dozens of drones intended for use by the Israeli occupation military in #Gaza. #London, Thursday: heroic #MetropolitanPolice officers arrested at least 117 terrorists, mostly elderly. In a sinister escalation, many of the terrorists displayed no sign of their opposition to #genocide or support for #PalestineAction. #MetPol arrested the terrorists for the sickening crime of sitting on the pavement. Others were arrested for attending court as summoned. Yesterday, Defend Our Juries said some of the arrests outside Westminster Magistrates Court were of people who had not shown or stated support for Palestine Action, but instead were simply in proximity to those who were in breach of the law. A spokesperson for Defend Our Juries said the police did not always wait for people to say the words “I support Palestine Action” before making arrests, in some cases just arresting “anyone that was within the cordon” Anyone wearing red was immediately treated with suspicion. #PalestineAction
